When does GTA 6 come out?

November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two reconfirmed the date at its May 2026 earnings call, and everything since — pre-orders, preload, editions — has been built around it.

What time does GTA 6 unlock?

Rockstar hasn't published a worldwide unlock map yet. Coverage of the preload announcement points to midnight local time, based on the region tied to your PlayStation or Xbox account. We'll publish exact unlock times for every timezone before launch week.

When can I preload GTA 6?

November 12, 2026 — one week early — if you've pre-ordered digitally. That's install only, not early play, and changing your console's region or clock won't get you in sooner.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

$79.99 for the standard edition, $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. Rockstar confirmed pricing on June 24, 2026, alongside pre-order details.

Is the Ultimate Edition worth it?

The extra $20 buys exclusive Jason and Lucia side missions, vehicles, outfits and mod-shop perks. What it doesn't buy is early access — none has been announced, so everyone starts playing at the same time.

Can I still pre-order GTA 6?

Yes. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026 with the Vintage Vice City Pack included on every edition. Physical batches sold out fast, but digital editions are unlimited — so ignore the marked-up listings, there's nothing to scalp.

Is there a disc version?

Not at launch. The physical edition ships as a boxed download code, with a disc version due months later. If a disc matters to you, that's the wait.

Is GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?

No. GTA 6 is a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S game only — Rockstar lists no last-gen versions, and none are coming.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Not announced. Rockstar hasn't said a word about a PC port. Going by GTA 5 and RDR2, a year or more after consoles is the realistic expectation — but that's a pattern, not a promise.

How much storage will GTA 6 need?

No official figure yet. Credible estimates cluster between 120 and 200 GB, plus a day-one patch. If you're preparing a console, freeing up around 200 GB is the safe play. (And no, the viral 600 GB claim was never real.)

Does GTA 6 have online multiplayer at launch?

No — Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a single-player experience at launch. Analysts and leaker reports point to the online mode following weeks later, echoing GTA 5's two-week gap, but Rockstar has announced nothing.

Where is GTA 6 set?

Vice City and the wider state of Leonida — Rockstar's take on Florida, back for the first time in over two decades. Rockstar has never given a map size; community analysis of the trailers estimates roughly twice GTA 5's map or more.

Who do you play as in GTA 6?

Jason and Lucia, a Bonnie-and-Clyde pair you switch between — confirmed since Rockstar's May 2025 site update. Lucia is the first female lead in a modern GTA. Exactly how the switching works hasn't been shown.

When is Trailer 3 coming?

Not announced. The most-cited window is late July to mid-August 2026, around Take-Two's August 7 earnings call — an informed read of Rockstar's habits, not a date. Every prior beat was preceded by a site or key-art refresh, so that's the tell to watch.
